The STUD Wear Bar
Technical Information
The STUD Wear Bar is a precision-engineered system built for superior performance and durability. The kit includes seven wear bar links, which you will strategically place in high-impact areas of your bumper to help prevent damage. With dimensions of 8mm thick, 40mm wide, and 71mm long, these robust links serve as seven protective standoffs, absorbing contact before your bumper does.
Each wear bar link consists of two wear pads, two sections of 3M VHB tape, and an articulating center link, all working together seamlessly for optimal protection.
Made from an advanced engineering-grade polymer reinforced with 15% carbon fiber, the wear pads and center link provide outstanding resistance to abrasion, high temperatures, and oil exposure, ensuring long-lasting durability in even the harshest conditions.

Our installation kit features removable placement markers, designed to help you position your Wear Bars with precision and confidence before securing them. These markers let you preselect and mark the seven optimal positions for your Wear Bars, ensuring perfect placement without any guesswork.
Articulating Center Link

The system’s innovative design allows the center link and wear pads to articulate, ensuring a precise fit that conforms perfectly to the car’s profile for maximum protection.
This design enables the wear pad sections, secured with 3M VHB tape, to sit exceptionally flat, creating a strong and reliable bond to the car’s surface.

Check Your Car Before Ordering
We would love to provide a comprehensive list of compatible vehicles, but due to the vast variety of car designs, it’s simply not possible. To determine if our system will fit your car, here’s what to look for:
Our system requires a relatively flat mounting surfaces with seven mounting areas, each at least 1 3/4" wide x 3" long, in the sections you want to protect.
Vehicles like modern Corvettes, which feature a thin spoiler extending downward from the bumper, are not compatible, as they lack a suitable mounting surface.
Before ordering, please check under your car to ensure proper fitment.
Our Story
The president of Stud Wear Bars, a retired plastics executive and car enthusiast, was frustrated with his low-profile sedans and sports cars constantly scraping their bumpers on curbs and steep driveways.
The frustration came to a head when his Tesla Model S, fresh from a $1,500 under bumper repair, was damaged again while pulling into an Airbnb driveway during vacation.
After finding no commercial solutions that met his standards, he decided to design his own. Through extensive CAD work and multiple prototypes, he developed the Stud Wear Bar System - a professional, high-performance product to protect his cars.
Now, it’s available to you. We hope it meets your expectations and helps protect your car from scrapes, just as it has his.

The Installation Guide included in the kit can be downloaded by clicking the image above. We encourage you to review it before ordering to get an overview of the installation process. On average, installation takes about an hour, not including the time needed to wash your car.
Fitment Note: Designed to adapt to most bumpers with a minimum 3-inch-wide flat surface running across the width of the car.
